We are working with a small, diverse group of developers and citizens with an interest in promoting socially responsible development toward Seattle’s future built form. This page is under construction until candidate responses are returned on July 26.
We have drafted a set of questions to encourage candidates to discuss the substantive quality of built form, rather than the virtues of density alone. It is our ultimate goal to bring “socially responsible development” into planning vocabulary, and advocate for policies that favor socially responsible development in the permitting process.
Once candidate responses are received, we will enable editing of a wiki-style community response, as a single-document forum for fact-checking candidate responses, conducting further research, and maintaining the dialogue past the primary and general elections.
